A radical test of the Burner ethos. The plexiglass pyramid is wallpapered inside with $5000 in cash. You could peel the bills off if you chose to. When I looked inside at midweek, it all appeared intact.

I speculated to a friend that, knowing the Burner spirit, any missing bills would be quickly replaced by people who wanted to preserve the integrity of the community as a whole. But she told me the bills were numbered, so that any such tampering would be evident. I don't know how it stood at the end of the week. But that guy sneaking in there looks a little furtive to me.
